Golden State Warriors championship parade photos

Scenes from the Golden State Warriors championship parade on June 15, 2017. This was their second championship in three years, sandwiched around a loss in the NBA Finals to the Cleveland Cavaliers—their opponent in all three Finals.

The captions here are missing names, a casualty of my disorganization. I’ve got them somewhere, and will update when I have time to find them.

I was looking for someone in ’80s Warriors gear, maybe a Joe Barry Carroll jersey, but this guy’s 2007 “We Believe” shirt was as OG as I could find.

The sign on the left made me uncomfortable, but I talked to them anyway. The lady in the hat is the one who said “Hurt people hurt people.”

This trio is heard early in the story. Two newer fans surrounding a long-suffering Dubs man.
Not sure I used their voices in the story, but we had a nice talk.

The guy on the truck in the black T-shirt, reaching his right hand up in front of the yellow sign, is Barry Bonds.

The Warriors winning “shines a positive light” on Oakland, this woman says in the story. “We get such a bad rap.”
